📦 How to Export from ShipStation

1 Log in and Navigate to Shipments

Go to https://ship13.shipstation.com/ and log in. Then select the "Shipments" tab on the top bar

2 Filter by Ship Date

On the top, filter by "Ship Date," and select "In the last 30 days." Then select "Apply" at the bottom

3 Export Shipments

Select "Export Shipments" on the top

4 Create New Export Format

Select "Export all # records in the current view," and select "Export Shipments." Then Select "Create New Format"

5 Select Required Fields

Name the Format on the top left. Then select the following fields from "Available fields" and move them to "Selected fields for export" with the arrow button:

  • Amount - Shipping Cost
  • Carrier - Fee
  • Carrier - Name
  • Carrier - Service Selected
  • Date - Shipped Date
  • Ship To - Postal Code
  • Shipment - Carrier
  • Shipment - Service
  • Shipment - Weight
  • Shipment - Width
  • Shipment - Zone

Then select "Save Export Format"

6 Export Your Data

Select the new format that you created at the bottom left. Then select "Export"

📦 How to Export from Shopify

1 Log in and Navigate to Analytics

Go to admin.shopify.com and log in. Then on the left sidebar, click on "Analytics"

2 Select Reports

Select "Reports"

3 Find Shipping Labels Report

Type "Shipping Labels" into the search bar, and select the "Shipping Labels by Order" report

4 Add Dimensions

On the right side, click the + icon next to "Dimensions"

5 Select Orders Category Fields

Select the "Orders" category and select all of the following items:

  • Destination Country
  • Origin Country
  • Package Dimension Units
  • Package height
  • Package length
  • Package type
  • Package weight
  • Package weight units
  • Package width
  • Shipping Carrier
  • Shipping Label Currency
  • Shipping Price
  • Shipping Service

6 Select Time Category

Select the "Time" category and select "Day." Then select "Apply" on the bottom right

Select the date range on the top left and select "Last 30 days." Then select "Apply"

Select the CSV format, "All results," and select export at the bottom right of the box

1 Log in to UPS Billing

Go to https://billing.ups.com and log into your account

📦 How to Export from FedEx

1 Log in and Access Billing

Go to fedex.com and log in. Click your name on the top right and select "View & pay bill"

On the left sidebar, select "Invoices"

3 Select Invoices from Last 30 Days

Select all invoices from the last 30 days

4 Download Invoices

Select "Download (Up to 10)"

5 Configure Export Settings

Select "CSV" for File type and "All columns" for Column set. Then select "Create Download"

Refresh if you don't see the file immediately. Once ready, select the download icon

To provide a detailed cost comparison, we will need the following data from the last 30 days of shipments (CSV preferred):

  • Current carrier
  • Service type
  • Package height
  • Package length
  • Package width
  • Package weight
  • Ship from zip code
  • Ship to zip code
  • Cost per shipment
  • Tracking number (if possible)
